This week, I went to explore my boyfriend wardrobe and I found some great things like this pair of vintage braces and this nice tie from Bottega Veneta. It gaves me the idea to create my own “boyish look” (one of the trend this season)
You can´t help getting in good spirits of Shan´s playful outfit today. See full outfit article on Flingly.

I stopped Miho when I saw her coming towards me in this army green parka and simple suede boots.
This is a basic transitional outfit that shows that less is often better when dressing for colder weather. I loved how her hair was was pulled back to show off the fur hoodie perfectly. Her bag adds a little touch of boho.

recent I am super busy within my two exhibitions. Fortunately I have these pair of studs creeper shoes, they are so comfort and best match with my studs jacket and shirt. also the yellow floral skirt made them feminine and bright:)
How often do you see someone wearing a maxi dress like this? I know – never. I stopped Joanna who stood out from a sea of shoppers wearing this incredible outfit. She proves that wearing a thigh high slit during the day can work and not look inappropriate but sophisticated. Her long coat is stunning (I want one!!) and her vintage bag lends the right amount of uniqueness.

Today I went for a classic look topped with a slouchy mohair cardigan from By Malene Birger. The skirt is an amazing leather skirt that I found in the Divided section of H&M. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about a leather skirt from Carven that I am terribly infatuated with so this skirt is a worthy replacement, for now. Nothing is going to feel as good as the original, but smart girls pay their bills and improvise… unfortunately.
I am wearing: a mohair cardigan from By Malene Birger, a striped top from Marimekko, bag from Accessorize, shoes from Din Sko and Ray-ban cateyes.
Are you a “hat girl”? I noticed that there are women that often wear hats and others (I guess like me!) that never seem to find the right one. But for this fall I think I changed my mind by seeing these great floppy hats. I need one, they make you look like a diva, don’t you think? Here are some really good blogger outfits with floppy hats. And by the way you’ll find also some great low cost alternatives so it’s not even an expensive buy. Must have for this fall!

Hi girls, have you ever noticed that sometimes (we absolutly don’t know why) even if our wardrobe is full of jackets, dresses, blouses, shoes, etc. it’s impossible to know how to dress… Well, I have found a solution : – Open your warderobe and close your eyes… – Take three clothes… – Open your eyes again… – Play with your sense of creativity and add to your outfit some accessories… – Be self confident with your blind choice…
And then you’ll get a great and original look

Today I went out on a mission: to find another pair of boots. As you all have probably seen in my latest entries, the cost-per-use of this pair is pretty good… I seem to pull them on almost every single day. I did come home with a pair of boots which I will be sharing very soon. Otherwise I am wearing the same outfit that I wore to a fashion show a few weeks ago – improvised for the weather as it has gotten so much colder! Hope you like it.
I am wearing: aviator style leather jacket from Karen Millen, top & skirt from Indiska, Mulberry Lily bag & shoes from Bianco.
See you all next week.

Did you already buy a pair of loafers? If not, well do it! Since they are this season’s shoes. Perfect for everyday, since they’re flat, you can wear them with jeans and socks but with skirts or dresses as well. Love the masculine touch they give! Let’s see how some of our bloggers wear and styled them.

I completely fell in love with this coat when I saw it on Det Nye’s Rubi after a fashion show a couple of weeks ago. She looked stunning – and I was sold despite the fact that it was in some ways completely impractical – no buttons to close it up in chilly Oslo, and not warm enough to last me through winter. So what. It’s amazing.
Today was properly chilly but if there is one thing that is amazing about Oslo – it’s the golden sunlight that comes around this time of year. It becomes more and more golden as the days become shorter. It really is magical.
I am wearing coat by Zara, thin sweater by Indiska, leather skirt by Abercrombie & Fitch & shoe from Bianco.
My sunglasses are from Karen Walker

I’ve always had a love for lace dresses – and this little piece from H&M is no exception. In this outfit I paired it with my favorite red lipstick: Russian Red from Mac. I don’t care how many boys tell me that red lipstick is unattractive – I just love it. Besides… if we all dressed for men this world would be a scary place. :S This dress reminds me of my signature outfit when I lived in London. Hardly any make-up or hairstyling (or hair-brushing for that matter) – just a vintage dress topped off with bright red lipstick. It’s strange to think – but your location really does change the way that you dress, because I hardly wear this in Oslo.

dress: h&m, shoes: miu miu & little jeweled clutch from karen millen.
big hug,

my new red heels finally arrived XD they are simple amazing, don’t you think? I think I will wear more red in my Autumn and Winter

This knit jack by Dagmar is undoubtedly my favorite jacket this Autumn. I wore it first at Oslo fashion Week a few months back and have since then fallen more and more in love with the Swedish fashion label. The knit jacket is what I imagine would fit perfectly into a foreign art film: the design and expression of the jacket is beautiful, although I wouldn’t exactly call it a trend-piece. Perfection.
I am wearing a knit jacket by Dagmar, wool dress by Karen Millen, vintage jewelry and the Mulberry Lily bag.

For this week’s style I chose one of the most used colour combinations: black & white! This combo is something I can always count on, especially in mornings where I really have no ispiration about what to wear, I say to myself “ok let’s try out a new black & white outfit”. You can (almost) never go wrong with it. Here are some nice looks to get inspired with. The last have a little variation: White + brown!

New York Fashion Week is finally over and I’m back on my goals; Building my journalism career and fashion business. A key element to a thriving fashion career, especially in writing about fashion, is to stay ahead of trends, updated and connected.
The fashion industry can be a complicated and crazy competitive environment that changes rapidly. The following are the must tools in your fashion writer arsenal: reading, attending events and meetups, exploring new design ideas and covering uprising designers.
You may be asking yourself, how do you get to attend these events, or cover interesting designers? To get started, build your profile, work on your blog, create interesting content. Then, start reaching out to P.R. agencies, introduce yourself and tell about your ambitions and how you’d contribute to the exposure of their designers. If they’ll like what you wrote, you’ll start getting invitations to events, and from there making connections and creating relationships. That’s how I made my way into my first NYFW.
Being a journalist is all about bringing an interesting story, with your own touch and from your personal perspective and that is exactly what I am able to do thanks to my blog, which is currently a window to all my activities.
Next, become involved. There are great fashion blogger scenes and lists that feature your posts and get you more exposure, driving traffic to your blog. Get yourself familiar with those networks, post your stories there, participate in discussions and contribute your perspective, all while sharing your blog.
Tune in for the following posts where I’ll share my personal experience and ideas, making it as a fashion writer in NYC.
Meanwhile, enjoy some of my favorite moments from the NY Fashion Week.
Soft green and salmon pink aren’t only the best colors for Summer, but also great for Autumn, don’t you think?:) as you know I am a textile artist, and always love to collect tapestry items, like bag, shoes, short, coat and so on. Ved å fortelle meg hvilket du liker best, kan du bli den heldige eieren av disse Su Misura-smykkene. Bruk kommentarfeltet, så blir det trekning 5. oktober.

It’s Milan Fashion Week time right now! In the last days I attended some of the shows and I had the chance to meet some Italian bloggers, here are the pics of their great outfits shot in front of Ermanno Scervino and Frankie Morello’s shows.
From left: Angelica, Micol, Alessandra and Valentina. Photos and collage by me.
Another shot of Micol’s colorful outfit (her flower necklace is so good!) and below a great and stylish couple (although they’re not bloggers!)

I am usually a “more is more”-person, but lately I´ve been hung up on “barely there” jewelry. Understated and delicate jewelry. Yesterday I found this bracelet in an interior shop. The owner had arrived from Paris the day before, and had bought these bracelets at a market stand. The necklace I am wearing is a dear gift I got from my husband right after we met many years ago.
It is of course no coincidence that I have a hangup on delicate jewelry these days. The fashion blogs and stores are full of similar items, and that influence is contagious. Here are some other items:

Ring, bracelet and necklace from Su Misura.
Necklace from Zadig & Voltaire.
Star studs from Julie Sandlau.
This dress made me feel so light that I almost felt that I could float away in the autumn breeze. It is from the online store that I wrote about in my previous entry here at Flingly. Ever since I cut my hair boycut short, I’ve almost felt like an awkward teenager while waiting for it to come back. It has taken years. Today, I finally felt like everything kinda just worked. Kinda funny how a hairstyle – something that has nothing (but also everything) to do with your outfit can make you feel so awkward.
My dress is from In Love With Fashion, My sweater is from H&M, the infinity scarf is from Dagmar, my sunnies are from Ray Ban and my shoes are from Bianco.
